10 injured as van turns over

At least 10 persons were injured when the van in which they were travelling overturned at Navagalkanda in the Medawachiya police area early this morning, police said.

The vehicle was proceeding to Jaffna from Negombo when the incident took place after the driver fell asleep at the wheel, police investigations have found out.

The injured were rushed to the Medawachiya Hospital and their conditions were reported to be stable, according to police.
